Sponsorship
If you think you are not ready to be a sponsor, think again…you ARE!
God equips the called!
Greetings NTTD Community!
My name is Ann Ethridge. I’m on your Pre-Weekend Committee and I would like to encourage you about sponsorship.
If I were a betting person, I’d bet that you know someone that you would like to experience the blessing of Tres Dias like you did, right? OK, then! Let’s get sponsoring! Your board president, Dak Lyons wrote an amazing summary entitled “Sponsorship Details” and it’s here to read. Take a look! He brought out several great points that will get you excited about sponsoring someone you know and love!
Sponsorship holds some hefty responsibility, but it’s SO worth it! Think back to how grateful you were to your own sponsor. I remember so many comments at closings…” I want to thank my sponsor…..for this tremendous blessing….” You can be that tremendous blessing to someone else by paying it forward!
If you are NOT serving on a team, we especially encourage you to sponsor! We need non-team members to be the bulk of our sponsors, because you can pour your full self into it while not serving on a team. This will make your experience as a sponsor free of stress and such a blessing to both you and your candidate.
All of us on the NTTD Board, especially and Drew and I as Pre-Weekend Committee, have your back! We have resources for you, and we are only a phone call away to answer all questions about your role as a sponsor.
Pray, invite, and wait for the blessing your candidate will get from Tres Dias through the work Father God wants to do in their lives! Join in to help fill up the weekend rosters! God is on the move, and he wants to use you!
De Colores!

Prayer Wheel Sign Up
A new place to find our Prayer Wheel
As things are underway for North Texas Tres Dias #75 Weekends, we know that the teams are doing their very best to prepare to give their all to serve the Candidates who will be attending. As the community, it is our responsibility to make a petition of prayer on behalf of the candidates, team, and Rectors.

The most impactful way of praying is signing up for the 24/7 Palanca Prayer Wheel. Remember, everyone who signs up to pray will have their name displayed during the weekend to show the candidates how the community is supporting them.
With our new community portal, we have a way of signing up for the Weekend Prayer Wheels! You can do this on the new community portal at nttd.ccbchurch.org, sign in or register for a account.
Rector Update!
Men's Weekend #75
Rector, Joe Linney - April 11-14, 2024
THEME: True Potential
VERSE: Proverbs 19:21
COLORS: TBD
SONG: Nothing Else by Cody Carnes
Hope this letter finds all doing well. The men's weekend is coming quickly. The team has had its share of shake ups, and God has provided in a big way. JW Brinkley is now our head spiritual director . Heads are making headway on preparations for their individual sections. As well as David Bohls is now in to play the keyboard .
I had no idea why my music Chas were telling me three guitars is going to be a stretch with someone to keep beat. I still don't know what the big deal was but we are definitely blessed with the music Chas and their hearts for worship.
I was speaking to one of the Spiritual Directors this week after the Tuesday evening meeting, and told him I felt a change in the atmosphere regarding the team. I feel like we have almost moved to an expectant spirit in preparation for the weekend now.
If y'all have someone in mind to send through, please begin to pray on It now. Remember sponsorship isn't over after the weekend. In fact your role is probably more important as a support cast to disciple the candidates and help get them plugged in.

Women's Weekend #75
Rector, Beth Denehie - April 18-21, 2024
THEME: Worthy, Loved, Forgiven, Chosen
VERSE: Matthew 13:46
COLORS: Red orange, Blue green, and Pearl
SONG: O Come to the Altar
We have had two AMAZING meetings so far and God is so good! There has been amazing worship, fellowship, incredible rollos, laughter, tears and lots of planning.
I am in awe of God's goodness watching His vision and His plan unfold!
The team is blessed with "legacy" friends that attended weekends in the single digits all the way to some new Pescadores from weekends #73 and #74. We have work ahead of us for two remaining meetings but are looking forward to continuing to prepare our hearts and minds to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Please continue to join us in prayer for the team and candidates He will bring to the weekend. I can't wait to see this sweet journey through.
Decolores.

Meet Jeff and Julie Forrester
We are so excited to be leading the Fourth Day Committee for North Texas Tres Dias. Jeff attended NTTD #72 and I attended NTTD #73. We have been married 28 years, we have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. We are empty nesters except for the three furbabies we have at home. We serve and attend New Hope Church in Wylie, Texas.
The impact that our NTTD weekends had on us was phenomenal but the friendships and volunteer opportunities within NTTD has allowed us to strengthen our relationships and build our community. That is what NTTD is meant for, not only allowing you to engage with God in special and profound ways but to become part of a like-minded Christian community of believers that continues to provide love and support on your fourth day.
We volunteered to lead so that we can give back to the community that has given us so much. The mission of the Fourth Day Committee is to setup Secuelas where you can worship, fellowship, get refreshed both spiritually and physically as we grow together in this faith journey chasing after Jesus. Tres Dias was just merely a foundational steppingstone to the rest of your life. We want people to get connected and feel part of the family.

Mark your calendars for our next Secuela in 2024 is April 27th, more details coming soon!

Julie Forrester
On my weekend, on Saturday evening, we had a wedding meal. During this meal we were given silver rings. I was thrilled when I tried mine on and it was a perfect fit! During the meal I found myself reflecting on how my perception of God was changing. I had grown up in an environment where the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were loved and feared- with more emphasis on feared. I had the impression that I could only get to heaven if I had done enough "good things" and avoided doing "bad things" as often as I could.
Because of this, I was not focused on having a relationship with my heavenly Father, but instead focused on checking enough boxes on my imaginary list of things I needed to do to get to heaven. Throughout my weekend, I let God move from my head to my heart and I knew that that relationship was very important. My weekend ring is a symbol of accepting God into my heart and turning my focus from a "to do" list to a relationship full of praise, worship, reverence, gratitude, and most importantly- love!!
I have had this picture on my nightstand since 2007!! I love it because it symbolizes how I used to think that living a life in obedience to Christ would be so restricting. Tres Dias has given me the tools, and accountability partners, to grow in living a life of obedience to Christ and I have found so much MORE freedom under that umbrella than I ever had without it!!
Is mine a perfect path... no, but my heart's desire is to continue seeking Him and His will in my life. Having this visual is one of the first things I see in the morning and one of the last things I see at night and it is a reminder to do a quick reflection of the condition of my heart.
These beautiful stories of Palanca were told by Jennifer Burner.
If you have a story of Palanca that was impactful to you, email the Newsletter Editor at newsletter@nttd.org.
The next set of Tres Dias Weekends are fast approaching! Don't forget to plan your palanca gifts now. Be a lever of the Holy Spirit to bless the candidates who are going through the weekend.

PRESIDENT'S POINTS
I haven't been to a missionary trip to another country before but have always wanted to! I have learned while not everyone can go "on" the trip, you can be a part of it in many ways. Tres Dias is the same, all of us can't work every weekend—we have had over 5000 come through NTTD weekends—but, like mission trips, there are other ways to help, and be a part. Some of us have worked many weekends, and can now help more with sponsorship, serving on the board, palanca or donating to the community to put on weekends.
If you were blessed by the weekend you went through, and can't serve anymore, would you consider donating to help support the community? Thank you, and be blessed!
P.S. - I actually have the chance to travel to Nairobi this summer to help with Made in the Streets ministering to homeless teens! Praise God for this opportunity!
