Expectations of Sponsorship
On the recent weekends, we had a few candidates request to leave the campground and be taken home as they were suprised by some things on the weekend. And it has been a growing habit for members of both the men’s and women's teams have sponsored candidates. This is a challenge, as one of the main responsibilities of a sponsor is to serve the candidate’s family while he/she is away for the weekend, making sure any needs they may have are met. While team members often rely on Reunion Group brothers/sisters to fulfill this responsibility, it’s still less than ideal. Sponsorship is an opportunity for members of the NTTD community that are not serving on the team to have a lasting impact on the weekend. Along with prayer, it really should be thought of as being a crucial part of the offsite team.
A couple of important things to keep in mind while you pray about sponsoring:

-
Remember that Tres Dias isn’t designed to be an evangelical ministry. Potential candidates should already have a relationship with Christ and not be “seekers.”
-
Tres Dias isn’t equipped to be a rehab ministry. This has been an issue on recent weekends. Potential candidates should not be in the midst of a substance abuse or addiction battle, or trauma. Before asking a potential candidate about attending a weekend, prayerfully consider if he/she is physically, mentally, and spiritually ready for an up close and personal encounter with God’s unfailing love and grace.
Your sponsorship begins on your knees and ends on your knees. It is very important to seek God’s wisdom as a Tres Dias sponsor. It is more than asking, signing in, and picking up your Candidate. Sponsorship is praying, serving, and encouraging your Candidate before, during and after the weekend - and it is an Essential! It involves a sacrificial commitment by you on behalf of another. Good sponsorship is an integral part of the Tres Dias experience.

WHO needs Essentials Training?
In the past few years, teams of us have been teaching Essentials and we usually have lots of NEW Pescadores sign up. They are excited and want to serve on their Fourth Day! We often have pescadores who went through other communities as we require them to go through our Essentials class too. We have Rectors, Head Chas, and Assistant Head Chas come for a refresher course in what is Essential on these weekends and what is Tradition.
If you serve often, or even if you don't, it is likely YOU could use a refresher in how the Tres Dias Method works - what is Essential to the outcome of the weekend, as well as what is not.
We are offering training either before or after Secuelas (4 times a year), and often on weekend evenings or Saturday classes. We offer them in Plano, McKinney, Corinth and over on the western side of our community in Ft Worth. As we serve a mighty God, we do want to bring our very best! Check the calendar and see where an Essentials Training is coming near you!
So look for a class today, and join in.

Weekend #76
Message from the Rectors
Weekend #76 Men's Rector
I would like to thank everyone who prayed for, supported, sponsored, served or serenaded the Men of NTTD #76!
The weekend was such a memorable experience that impacted the men of NTTD #76, and their families for generations.
We had an incredible team that really just felt like hanging out with great friends.
I would ask continued prayer for all of our New Pescadores, both men and women in their continued 4th Day experience.
Let us be forever Dauntless in our faith…
DeColores!

Weekend #76 Women's Rector
For weekend #76 which just closed, I've had the immense honor of serving as Rector for the women's weekend.
This weekend was amazing. Although the weekend theme was that of hanging onto God's coattails, there was an underlying theme which God orchestrated of honoring Him as Holy and Awe-inspiring. He showed up and did His thing. His glory shone through us "cracked pots." Many team members commented on the unity that was experienced by the team. At closing, the testimonies evidenced that God had His hand on the weekend as only He could do!
Many thanks to those who prayed for the weekend, the team, the candidates, the weather, the rector (and her sleep!), and all the little details. Thank you! And a miracle that God gave us: from what I've heard, not only did I sleep better than usual on this weekend than previous weekends, the team also benefitted from your prayers in that regard. Thank you, and God bless you!!!
